About Our Administrator

Sandra Park-O'Hara, "Sandy", became the Administrator for the Santa Rosa
County Health Department on December 10, 2009. Ms. Park-O'Hara has worked at
the health department since September, 1990, and has provided services in the
Public Health arena for over 20 years. She is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and
is Board Certified in Women's Health and Obstetrics and Gynecologic Services.
At the Santa Rosa Health Department, Sandy has worked in
Immunizations, Tuberculosis, School Health, Communicable Diseases, Family
Planning, Primary Care, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and as the Director of the
Health Services Division. She has served as the Administrator of the health
department since December 2009.
Sandy's previous experience includes having worked as the Comptroller for Santa
Rosa Emergency Medical Services where she also served as an Emergency Medical
Technician providing emergency care for over 10 years. She also worked in
several local hospitals in the critical care and emergency medicine arenas.
Sandy's entire career has been spent providing medical care and services to
citizens of Santa Rosa County.
Sandy received her Bachelors in Accounting from the University of
West Florida in Pensacola and did her graduate level work at Emory where she
received her certification for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She is currently working
on a Masters in Public Health.
